Otter Falls is open all year and is the ideal choice for Autumn, Winter and Spring breaks. Located at the foot of the Blackdown Hills and close to the dramatic Devon Heritage Coast the area offers abundant walking opportunities. - Exmoor and Dartmore are both within easy driving distance. Exeter with its dramatic cathedral and the sea side resorts of Sidmouth and Beer are 30-45 minutes away. Enjoy a 3 or 4 night break in a snug centrally heated cottage or lodge luxuriating in the warmth of a log fire. With the summer crowds gone, relax in the peace and quite of Devon's rolling countryside.
3 night breaks (Fri - Mon) and 4 night breaks (Mon - Fri) are charged at 70% of the weekly rate (other durations may be available, phone the booking line to enquire).

The nearby coastal scenery and countryside have a quiet and magical charm all of their own now that the summer crowds have gone! All our Cottages and Lodges are fully heated and double-glazed for Winter comfort, with log fires in most of them.

At Otter Falls we have a range of things to do - excellent walks, fishing and tennis.
Easy access to Dartmoor and Exmoor as well as the Dorset and Devon Coastlines. Nearby Golf and Horse Riding.
Keep trim in the indoor swimming pool which is maintained at 28°C, and is fully humidity controlled ( no misty windows to spoil the beautiful open country views ).

Special Reunions and Larger Groups
Otter Falls accommodation and facilities offers flexible arrangements for larger parties and special 'get togethers'
For larger parties, Farmhouse and Dovecote can interconnect providing accommodation up to 16 people. Shire Stables and adjacent Ostlers Cottage can provide accommodation for up to 13 people. Long Barn and The Byre can also interconnect to provide for up to 10 people. The Smithy and Farrier's Cottage can interconnect providing accommodation up to 8 people.
Shire Stables and adjacent Ostlers Cottage can offer accommodation for up to 13 people.
The Haybarn (comprising 4 attached cottages - Haywain, Summerhay, Sweethay and Hayloft) can accommodate up to 20 guests.
Dovecote, Long Barn, Haywain and particularly Shire Stables have large 'social areas' to allow everyone to get togeather if required.

Honiton, just 7 miles from Otter Falls is renowned for its variety of antique shops - 38 in total! A delightful place to browse and find unusual gifts.
The historic City of Exeter, 30 - 40 minutes away, offers top quality stores, colourful market stalls and unique boutiques tucked away down ancient cobbled alleyways. Visit the Cathedral and pop into one of the newly opened restaurants - like Michael Caines at the Royal Clarence - a historic pub or 'Tea Shoppe' for lunch. Exeter is large enough to offer everything you need, but small enough to be friendly. |
A visit to the famous Otter Nurseries, one of England's largest and finest Garden Centres is a must. A kaleidoscope of thousands of plants to delight every gardener and festive decorations and gifts to buy - 20 minutes away.
Whilst you're visiting Otter Nurseries, drop in at Joshua's Farm Shop which offers delicious organic cheeses, venison and game as well as tasty condiments and spices.
For delightful woodland walks pop in to Knighthayes Court and Killerton House - two of Devon's finest historic houses and gardens with a gift shop and well stocked plant centre. A wonderful day out and only some 30 minutes away. Why not call in for lunch at the Drewe Arms at Broadhembury, one of England's finest country pubs in Devon's prettiest village.
Do you like Vintage or Classic Motors - The Haynes Motor Museum is not far away as is the impressive Navy Air Museum at Yeovilton.
For serious shopping the Clarks Outlet Centre is a must - some 30 minutes away at Street.
For animal lovers why not visit the Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth and see the superb conditions in which these formerly deprived Donkeys are kept - there is a pleasant coffee shop for a quick snack.
Get some air! The sea is just 30 minutes away and a bracing walk along the World Heritage Coastline. We recommend the cliff top walk from Beer to Branscombe where the renowned pub - The Masons Arms is to be found - this walk provides one of the most impressive coastal pathways you'll find anywhere in the British Isles.
