We’ve been open for almost 3 weeks now, it’s been challenging for sure but our guests have been great and the team have worked their socks off to ensure people can enjoy Otter in a safe way. Our motto is ‘Safe but Social’ and that’s how it’s felt over the past few weeks… here’s to a beautiful summer!
We are seeing high numbers of enquires and many people are now looking to book a break for the summer or autumn this year, as well as many securing their 2021 holidays.
Understandably, for more imminent dates people are concerned about what happens if COVID 19 was to interrupt or prevent their holiday from taking place. So to help with this worry we have extended our payment terms so that you can book your summer or autumn 2020 holiday for a deposit of £100, then only pay the balance 28 days before your date of arrival.
Secondly we have also made sure that this deposit or full payment can be moved to any available future date of your choice, this includes holidays of a lower value or higher value or even in a different cottage or lodge.
This will now apply to all holidays booked for dates between the 4th of July and the 31st of October 2020.
Finally, this flexibility and peace of mind is extended to all existing bookings, any monies paid so far can be transferred to future dates of your choice without charge, again whether the break is a cheaper or more expensive holiday or accommodation.
Therefore for both new and existing bookings, you would only pay more if you chose a more expensive future break.

With the recent announcements from the government and the gradual easing of lock down we are now hopeful of seeing you all again soon. This could be as early as July and as a consequence we are seeing high demand for the summer months, so we wanted to let you know in case you wanted to book for the summer or autumn 👍
The free and flexible movement of dates that we have been supporting our guests with will still apply, so you can book with confidence knowing that your holiday will be protected.
We’ve been working hard during lock down to keep everything looking beautiful but also to make sure that we can keep everyone especially safe and cared for whilst they are with us. More on this to follow in the coming days.. Team Otter x
During lockdown, we’re fortunate that our spacious surroundings and individual self-catering properties means many of our team members have been able to continue doing the jobs they love, always observing strict social distancing rules. We’re also proud that we’ve been able to continue supporting local tradespeople, suppliers and the local community as a whole.
As a result, all our cosy cottages and luxury lodges are now fully renovated or freshly decorated for you and our estate is being lovingly cared for. Our experienced team has also been carefully considering all the ways we’ll ensure your safety and wellbeing when we open our doors again.
Simple pleasures are going to mean even more to us
One thing is for sure, when the time’s right, we’ll get to share all those little things that make Otter Falls such a magical place again: like a woodland dog walk, a family barbecue or a few hours fishing on the lakes.
Our priority is to our team and our guests, and we wanted to reiterate how we are looking after these two really important groups in this time of national crisis.
We are closing the park until further notice, this is to support the government’s efforts to control this pandemic, to protect our amazing team and to safeguard our loyal customers.
We will continue to follow government advice in relation to Covid 19 management and we urge everyone to follow this advice and also to continue with the appropriate recommended social distancing and handwashing regimes at all times.
At Otter Falls we are very fortunate to have wide-open spaces and individual self-catering properties but this does not mean we are immune to this virus or the actions needed to arrest its advance.
We need at this time to protect your holidays and the future of our team and business, to this end, anyone with a booking will be able to move their holiday without charge to another date with the same seasonal pricing. This offer extends into 2021 and further where needed, importantly we will not need you to let us know dates straight away. By doing this our guests will not have to lose any money or their holiday and our team and our business will be here for everyone when we beat this virus and move on with our lives.
